Job summary

Masonicare at Middlewoods of Farmington in Farmington, CT seeks an RN Assisted Living Director (SALSA) to supervise ALSA nursing and personal care services across the community. The role coordinates care, manages staff, and aligns with agency standards to ensure resident safety and well-being.

The ideal candidate will hold a CT RN license, have nursing leadership experience, and be prepared to participate in budgeting, program planning, and quality assurance activities.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing with two years full-time experience (one year in home health care or community health required)
• Diploma or Associate's Degree in nursing with four years of full-time experience over the past 10 years (one year of home health care or community health required)
• Licensed Registered Nurse with valid Connecticut license

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage nursing and assisted living services for residents
• Supervise nursing personnel and aides and evaluate their clinical competence
• Ensure thorough communication via shift meetings, logs, and documentation
• Participate in planning agency objectives, standards of care, policies and procedures
• Conduct orientation, ongoing education, and competency verification for staff
• Provide direct nursing services and medication administration supervision as needed
• Develop resident education, wellness programs and health promotion initiatives
• Maintain updated documentation of residents' physical, emotional and functional status
• Coordinate with Resident Services Coordinator and other teams to manage transitions of care
• Prepare weekly and quarterly reports for QA and governing bodies
• Refer residents to appropriate professionals or agencies as conditions dictate
• Travel to ALSA sites as required
