Hartford HealthCare's Hartford Hospital is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the North 12 unit. Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, the role supports patient-centered care, uses evidence-based practices, and ensures standards of practice.

The assistant nurse manager will schedule and assign work, monitor progress, and drive quality improvements while coaching staff to meet performance goals. A CT RN license and strong leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN License.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN required).
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association and proof of Arrhythmia Certification required prior to date of hire.
• Prior Leadership Experience And/ or Unit Committee Work Highly Preferred.
• Specialty certification highly preferred.
• Strong Communications Skills Required - Both Written And Verbal.

Responsibilities

• The assistant nurse manager supervises a work group to ensure a high quality, cost-effective product or service.
• They schedule and assign work, resolve processing problems, collect data to monitor progress, and carry an assigned workload or fill in as necessary.
• They implement and monitor departmental goals and objectives aligned with the organization's strategic direction, and coach staff toward performance objectives.
