Qualifikationen

• BSN is required; if no BSN, MSN is required.
• Master's degree in nursing/healthcare or business management is required or must be enrolled to obtain within 5 years of promotion.
• BLS Certification is required and professional certification in a related nursing specialty is required.
• 5 years of appropriate clinical and leadership experience.
• Current nursing licensure in the State of Delaware or a compact state.

• Assist the Nurse Manager in the overall administrative direction for nursing practice and delivery of high-quality care.
• Share 24-hour responsibility and accountability for daily operational activity.
• Directly supervise nursing and technical staff; assess proficiency, staffing needs, and performance; counsel staff as needed.
• Participate in hiring, promotion, and salary decisions; model professional behavior and support staff development.
• Identify strategies to improve knowledge, professionalism, and staff competency; mentor staff on the floor.
• Identify potential future leaders and engage in succession planning.
• Analyze administrative and operational functions and implement system-wide improvements.
