Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license or eligibility.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience.
• Minimum 1 year of leadership or progressive management experience.
• Experience in behavioral health/psychiatric or addiction recovery setting.
• Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Strong understanding of inpatient nursing operations and patient safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing operations within inpatient behavioral health.
• Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality patient care and positive patient/staff experience.
• Supervise nursing staff, assist with hiring, onboarding, coaching, scheduling, and performance management.
• Monitor staffing levels and patient care needs to maintain operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and quality initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
• Participate in budget planning and resource management for nursing services.
• Investigate incidents and support patient safety initiatives during crises.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and continuity of care processes.
• Develop staff education and training programs.
• Participate in committees and organizational improvement initiatives.
• Provide direct patient care support when needed.
