Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in South Carolina.
• CPR certification.
• Seven years of nursing experience with two in supervision in long-term care.
• Education: BSN preferred; Regulatory knowledge and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Acts as liaison between nursing units, admissions, and the DON.
• Plans and facilitates meetings and committees addressing resident care issues.
• Monitors weekly/monthly weights and nursing staff performance for training needs.
• Assists in preparation of departmental budget and ensures adequate staffing.
• Performs annual competency evaluations and addresses survey issues in a timely manner.
• Represents the DON at meetings and in the community; guides professional development of nursing staff.
