Job summary

Triangle Springs is a 77-bed behavioral health hospital in Raleigh seeking an Assessment Specialist, RN to join our team on a full-time schedule from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm. You will conduct initial evaluations, document symptoms and needs, and coordinate with physicians for LOC determinations.

Your role emphasizes excellent patient and family communication, precise preadmission and admission paperwork, and adherence to EMTALA and CPI/ CPR requirements as part of a collaborative care environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license in the relevant state.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; ability to practice per state board.
• CPR certification required; CPI training within 30 days of start date.
• Strong documentation and communication skills for patient assessments and care coordination.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates response to requests for services, including initial assessment and referral processes.
• Conducts initial evaluation, documents patient symptomology, functioning, and needs; informs MD for LOC determination.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service to patients, physicians, visitors, and coworkers.
• Maintains all preadmission and admission paperwork with accuracy and completes precertification with insurance companies.
• Adheres to Emergency Detention paperwork and EMTALA requirements.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
