Birchwood Rehabilitation and Heathcare Center in Nanticoke, PA is seeking a full-time RNAC. This 121-bed skilled nursing facility specializes in short-stay rehab and long-term care, with private and semi-private rooms. The RNAC will ensure accurate MDS coding and clinical documentation to maximize reimbursement and patient care.

The role also includes nursing education, unit leadership, case management with managed care, and collaboration with social workers to support interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in the state of PA.
• 2 years RNAC experience in a long-term care setting.
• Experience with MDS coding and documentation for reimbursements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of all sections of MDS coding to maximize company reimbursement consistent with the levels of treatment delivered and required for appropriate patient / resident care.
• Ensure accuracy of clinical paperwork to maximize company reimbursement consistent with the levels of treatment delivered and required for appropriate patient / resident care.
• Nursing Educator: – Serve as a primary trainer to the nursing department to ensure documentation is accurate, timely, and thorough.
• Nurse Management: Serve as a key member of the nursing leadership team to clinically manage the unit to maximize patient-centered outcomes.
• Case management with managed care to maximize therapy and nursing services for patient-centered outcomes.
• Manage clinical and financial record keeping and dissemination of these records to appropriate payers.
• Take joint ownership of care conferences with social workers.
• Perform other duties as required.
