Job summary

UNC REX Healthcare is hiring for our RN Apprentice Program designed for LPNs currently enrolled in or preparing to start RN school. This structured program offers a path to work in adult inpatient units while preparing for transition to RN practice.

The role is Per Diem with a 12-hour weekly commitment and requires meeting attendance policies and holiday commitments. A Learning & Development collaboration provides enhanced training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in the Registered Nurse Apprenticeship Program.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Current LPN Licensure in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to plan, provide and document care.
• Coordinate care with professional judgment based on patient needs.
• Collaborates with providers and families to ensure safe, effective care.
