Job summary

University of Utah Health in Salt Lake City seeks a part-time RN Apprentice/Temporary Graduate Nurse to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include patient care, care planning, and education for patients and families, with emphasis on safety and clinical teamwork.

Qualified candidates will hold Utah Temporary RN Apprentice or Temporary Graduate Nurse licenses and obtain the required RQI credential within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Temporary RN Apprentice in Utah or Temporary Graduate Nurse in Utah.
• Current RQI Healthcare Provider credential to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Successful completion of nursing board exams and licensure as a Registered Nurse in Utah will be pursued for promotion.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, provide direct patient care and support patient care activities.
• Assist with care planning, documentation, and patient/family education as directed.
• Help with activities of daily living and indirect patient care tasks to maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Participate in 24/7 staffing requirements, including rotating shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.
