Job summary

Henry Ford Health Hospital in Detroit is seeking a registered nurse to deliver high-quality patient care across specialties. You will participate in quality assurance, research and shared governance to improve care for patients and families.

The role requires Michigan RN licensure, BLS or ACLS, and strong communication with the health care team; you will apply the nursing process to plan, implement and document care, and maintain current clinical knowledge in your area of specialty.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
• Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.

• May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator when appropriate.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation.
• Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel.
• Preferred experience in the specialty. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy.
