Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit seeks an experienced registered nurse to lead coordination and delivery of high-quality patient care. You will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care and teaching for patients and families.

The role requires current Michigan RN licensure, BLS/ACLS per HFHS policy, and ongoing clinical knowledge to develop effective care plans. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor degree preferred.
• Successful completion of HFMG Pharmacology test.
• Certification as ACLS or OCN when required by state/standard.
• Maintains current clinical knowledge and ability to formulate effective care plans.
• Ability to communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor Degree preferred.
• Successful completion of HFMG Pharmacology test.
• Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
• Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel.
• Preferred experience in the specialty. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS or ACLS per HFHS policy.
