Our fast‑paced Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Carolinas Medical Center provides comprehensive, high‑acuity recovery care for patients emerging from surgery in a Level I Trauma Center. We care for a diverse patient population—including trauma, emergent, and elective surgical cases across all specialties. Nurses in our PACU are highly skilled in critical assessment, hemodynamic stabilization, airway management, and rapid clinical decision‑making. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
