Job summary

North Pointe Care Center in Sacramento, CA, is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) who will partner with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily nursing operations and ensure high-quality resident care.

The ADON will mentor RNs, LVNs, and CNAs, monitor regulatory compliance, drive quality improvement, and support admissions and care planning in a busy skilled nursing environment.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted California RN license.
• Leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or related setting.
• Strong knowledge of CMS/state regulations.
• Experience with survey readiness and quality improvement.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to build relationships with staff, residents, and families.
• Preferred: prior ADON or nurse management experience.
• Preferred: track record in improving quality measures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing nursing department operations.
• Mentor and supervise RNs, LVNs, and CNAs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Monitor quality measures, clinical outcomes, and infection prevention programs.
• Assist with staff training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
• Participate in surveys, audits, and plans of correction.
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families.
• Support admissions, care planning, and clinical documentation processes.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, and resident-centered care.
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives and best-practice implementation.
