Job summary

mbhealthcare is seeking an RN for the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) position in a nursing home facility. The role focuses on directing and supervising resident care, developing individualized care plans, and leading daily rounds and interdisciplinary staff meetings.

The ADON will report to the Administrator and DON, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges while building strong relations with discharge coordinators.

Responsibilities

• Direct, evaluate and supervise all resident care, initiate corrective action as necessary
• Assess resident care needs and assist in development of individualized care plans
• Conduct resident care conferences
• Report problems to the Administrator and the DON
• Conduct daily resident rounds and initiate corrective action as necessary
• Conduct staff meetings with all shifts
• Assume responsibility for nursing service compliance to federal, state and local regulations
• Direct allocation of nursing service equipment and supplies
• Supervision and Scheduling
• Conduct interviews and hire nursing service employees
• Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Establish good public relations with hospital discharge coordinators
• Consistently demonstrate responsibility, accountability, and dependability
• Work cooperatively with facility administration, nursing personnel, ancillary personnel, all facility departments
