Job summary
Sweetwater Care in Denver seeks an energetic RN leader to be our next Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). You will partner with the Director of Nursing to lead clinical operations and mentor staff, ensuring exceptional resident care and regulatory readiness.
You will drive quality initiatives, infection prevention, and interdisciplinary collaboration while supporting staffing, care planning, and a positive, team-focused culture for residents and families.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing experience preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead with professionalism, accountability, and compassion
Responsibilities
- Lead clinical operations alongside the Director of Nursing
- Mentor and support nursing staff to promote high-quality resident care
- Ensure regulatory readiness and compliance through audits and education
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Monitor quality measures and drive continuous performance improvement
- Support infection prevention initiatives and clinical education
- Participate in admissions, care planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, and operational planning
- Serve as a clinical resource and leader across the facility
- Foster a positive, engaged, team-focused culture
