Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking an experienced RN leader to oversee Nursing Services, ensure quality resident care, and supervise the nursing staff around the clock. The DON will align clinical operations with physicians' orders and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate holds an active Colorado RN license, a BSN or ASN, and has 2+ years of supervisory nursing experience in long-term or acute care. In the administrator's absence, the DON ensures smooth center operations.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as RN in the state practiced.
• Associate or Bachelor Degree from an accredited nursing school required.
• Two years supervisory nursing experience in long-term or acute care; 5 years in health care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assumes ultimate responsibility for coordinating plans for total resident care per physician orders and regulations.
• Communicates and interprets policies to nursing staff and monitors practices.
• Participates in admissions decisions and may visit prospective residents.
• Participates in daily and weekly management meetings to discuss resident status and concerns.
• Other duties may be assigned at any time.
