Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Admission Holding Unit (AHU). You will provide inpatient-level care to patients awaiting placement, following the nursing process and protocols to ensure safe transitions.

Required qualifications include an active RN license, BLS, and about 1 year of clinical nursing experience; BSN preferred. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants and may apply if you have not previously

Qualifications

Graduate of a Board of Nursing–approved nursing program.
Active, unrestricted RN license (multi-state compact and/or state-specific based on practice location).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
Additional certifications or experience may be required based on specialty.

Responsibilities

Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care across the continuum by leveraging the nursing process, administering treatments per protocol, and adapting care based on patient needs.
Collaborate effectively with the care team while maintaining accurate documentation, supporting quality and safety initiatives, and upholding professional standards, ethics, and ongoing development (including flexibility to float as needed).
