Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Med/Surg Overflow unit. The RN provides patient-centered care using the nursing process, collaborates with the care team, documents accurately, and upholds professional standards in a dynamic acute care setting.

Minimum requirements include a board-certified nursing program graduate, active RN license, BLS, and at least 1 year of clinical nursing experience; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing-approved nursing program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license (multi-state compact and/or state-specific based on practice location)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience
• Additional certifications or experience may be required based on specialty

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care across the continuum by leveraging the nursing process, administering treatments per protocol, and adapting care based on patient needs.
• Collaborate effectively with the care team while maintaining accurate documentation, supporting quality and safety initiatives, and upholding professional standards, ethics, and ongoing development (including flexibility to float as needed).
