Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join the Mercy Hospital 4A unit. The role involves delivering direct nursing care, implementing care plans, and coordinating patient discharge while supporting patients and families throughout the care journey.

The position requires an ADN or BSN, current RN licensure, BLS certification, and at least one year of acute care experience. Night shift with rotating weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
• One year of acute care RN experience in a hospital setting OR licensed military RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
