Job summary

Kindred Hospital Chicago North is looking for a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care in a long-term acute care setting. Duties include patient assessment, care planning, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will hold an accredited nursing qualification and state RN licensure. Qualifications

• Postsecondary certificate, diploma, or program graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice is required upon hire.
• Six months of Medical/Surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process.
• Develops nursing care plans in coordination with patients and interdisciplinary staff.
• Documents patient admissions, assessments, and care plans.

Skills

Knowledge of medications and their correct administration

Basic computer knowledge

Organizational skills

Ability to maintain working relationships

Fluent in English

Education

Postsecondary certificate from an accredited nursing school

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
