Job summary

Cary Medical Center in Maine is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Acute Care Unit to deliver high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced environment.

The RN will perform clinical assessments, develop and update care plans, administer medications following the 5 rights, and collaborate with the inter-disciplinary team to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes. This full-time role includes a schedule of days, 36 hours per week, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Maine RN license.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Cardiac Course within 12 months of hire.
• ACLS certification within 6 months and maintained.
• Competence in nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Completes admission assessment within 8 hours of admission.
• Performs timely nursing assessments to ensure patient safety and continuity of care.
• Verifies medication list on admission and reviews allergies.
• Utilizes telemetry and other monitoring systems; documents findings.
• Administers medications following the 5 rights; adheres to policy and safety.
