You’ll work in a Best Places to Work environment and provide collaborative, compassionate care to diverse patients. We emphasize customer service and teamwork, with a schedule of 36 hours per week on day shifts (7a-7p).

Qualifications

• Active Maine RN license required.
• BLS certification within 6 months and maintained thereafter.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire and maintained thereafter.
• Competence in nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Demonstrates leadership skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Completes admission assessment and recognizes health problems.
• Completes admission within 8 hours of admission.
• Performs timely nursing assessments to ensure patient safety and continuity of care.
• Verifies medications and allergies on admission.
• Monitors patient response and documents accurately.
• Utilizes telemetry and camera systems effectively.
• Interprets clinical data and expedites interventions as needed.
• Updates care plans and risk assessments within shift timelines.
• Collaborates with case management and other disciplines.
• Administers medications using the 5 rights and maintains safety standards.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings (IDTs).
• Maintains compliance with laws, regulations, and hospital policies.
