Job Summary
The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers who ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized, high-quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environment administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders, supported through the Wellstar Shared Governance Model. The practice framework is guided by the Wellstar Professional Practice Model, evidence-based practice, and research. RN competencies are derived from these models and supported by the Wellstar Values.

Job Summary
It is expected that all RN Clinical Nurses are licensed, knowledgeable, and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, implementing the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards set forth by the American Nurses Association. As part of the patient services team, individuals must uphold the voice of the patient, adhere to system policies and procedures, and support service excellence goals.
Core Responsibilities And Essential Functions
Minimum Education
Associate's Degree in nursing or graduation from an accredited nursing school required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Minimum Licenses and Certifications
Minimum Experience
Less than 1 year of clinical hours completed post-nursing program required. Direct patient care experience preferred.
