The Registered Nurse (RN) focuses on safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes. The RN assists in maintaining a financially stable unit, promotes personal development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education supported by a Practice Governance framework. The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff. Using the Kristin M. Swanson Model of Care, the RN assesses, develops, implements, and evaluates the plan of care, focusing on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction. The RN applies their educational and professional experiences to deliver quality care and mentor staff.
