The Registered Nurse (RN) focuses on safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes. The RN assists in maintaining a financially stable unit, promotes their own development through evidence-based practice and education supported by a Practice Governance framework, supervises licensed and non-licensed staff, and applies the Kristin M. Swanson Model of Care to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care. The RN emphasizes patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction, applying their educational and professional experience to deliver quality care and mentor staff.
