Job summary

Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Inc. seeks an Access Care Manager (CM) to coordinate patient admissions and bed placement across all entry points. You will perform admission clinical reviews to ensure appropriate level of care and efficient patient flow in accordance with hospital standards.

The role requires an RN license in Georgia, an Associate degree (Bachelor's preferred), and at least 3 years of clinical experience with basic management responsibilities. BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 3 years of progressive clinical and basic management experience are required.
• Registered Nurse with current Georgia license (RN).
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate admission and bed placement to ensure appropriate level of care.
• Perform admission reviews and ensure EMTALA compliance.
• Document UR reviews and maintain data in electronic systems.
• Educate physicians and staff about regulatory and payer issues impacting admission or transfer.
