Job summary

DuPont Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team in Washington, DC. The RN will provide patient-centered clinical care, perform history-taking, contraception counseling, and administer medications, while ensuring safety and quality during procedures.

The role offers opportunities to learn ultrasound-guided abortion care and gynecologic services, with on-call responsibilities and a focus on bodily autonomy and inclusive care.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, or MSN from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience required.
• Active License RN in the District of Columbia.
• Current BLS and ACLS Certification.
• Flexibility with scheduling.
• Ability to arrive at clinic within 30 minutes when on-call.

Responsibilities

• Maintain trauma-informed patient-centered care.
• Provide clinical care, including history-taking, procedural and contraception counseling, consents, and medication administration.
• Evaluate sedation needs and provide monitoring.
• Perform IV placement, blood draws, and point-of-care testing.
• Maintain BLS/ACLS and respond to emergencies per protocols.
• Document accurately in EMR and charting.
• Participate in team drills, on-call and training sessions.
• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
