Job summary

La Clínica del Pueblo is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Perinatal Care Team for a full-time hybrid role serving Washington, DC and Hyattsville, MD. The RN will support prenatal, obstetric, gynecologic, and family planning services across two clinic sites with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include triage, education, care coordination, and adherence to evidence-based, trauma-informed care while promoting health equity for diverse populations.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Maryland and/or the District of Columbia; licenses required within 90 days.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• At least 3 years of obstetrics/prenatal clinic or labor and delivery experience.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Spanish.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Commitment to health equity and serving vulnerable populations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate within interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans with the care team.
• Perform prenatal intake, nursing visits, blood pressure monitoring, and patient screenings.
• Execute in-person and telephone triage for prenatal, postpartum, and gynecologic patients.
• Provide education on pregnancy, postpartum care, diabetes, hypertension, contraception, and mental health.
• Coordinate care across internal and external providers for continuity of care.
