Job summary

Allegheny General Hospital's 8C Surgical/Trauma telemetry unit seeks a registered nurse to provide patient-centered care using the nursing process. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for trauma and surgical patients with a focus on safety and outcomes.

Candidates must hold PA RN licensure or eNLC, CPR, and have at least 1 year of RN experience. The role includes unit-based casual status, with weekends/holidays per policy, and is within the Allegheny Health Network of Highmark

THE UNIT:

The Allegheny General 8C Surgical/Trauma Unit is a 43 bed telemetry unit dedicated to providing comprehensive care for post-trauma and general surgical patients. The unit also manages patients requiring complex urological and abdominal care, as well as those recovering from plastic surgery and ENT procedures. The 8C Unit and staff are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, utilizing advanced monitoring and evidence-based practices to promote optimal recovery and outcomes.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:
