Job summary

Mercy Joplin is seeking registered nurses to provide comprehensive patient care on the Med-Surg service line, with opportunities across Ortho-Neuro units. You will work in a collaborative team to support patients preparing for or recovering from medical and surgical interventions.

New grads and experienced RNs are welcomed, with a sign-on bonus and a robust benefits package including tuition reimbursement, relocation assistance, and retirement matching.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited school.
• Current RN license in the state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification required by the American Heart Association.

The Mercy Joplin MedSurg Service Line is made up of several specialty units that will provide experience with patient populations with a varying range of diagnoses and care needs.Functionally, these units house and care for patients who are preparing for or recovering from medical and surgical interventions.Whether you are a new grad nurse looking to build a strong base before launching into your future career/educational plans or an experienced nurse who enjoys variety in their everyday work, Med Surg is the place for you!

Our Ortho-Neuro Unit is a 24-private bed unit that cares for orthopedic (both surgical and non-surgical), stroke and a wide variety of neurological conditions. Our Nurses work on a support team of educators, PCA/PCT's, Case Managers, Respiratory Therapists, Dieticians, PT/OT and Speech Therapists. You will have the opportunity to receive your NIH Stroke Certification.

Great stepping stone into our ICU and ED units

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
• License: Current RN license in our state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
