Job Summary

The Registered Nurse manages all aspects of the nursing process and the delivery of patient and family centered care. The Registered Nurse has the responsibility and authority to request and use governing and administrative resources, technological and support systems, and multidisciplinary clinical experts necessary to manage and deliver quality, cost effective patient care.

RN Specialties Additional Requirements: (ED, OR, PACU, Cardiac Rehab, First Assist OR, ICU, Med Surge, Pediatrics, Labor & Delivery, Pre-Op Eval, Radiology)

  • ED: Require BLS, Prefer ACLS / PALS
  • OR: Proficiency in using computers and ability to quickly gain competency in hospital software, BLS certification, minimum 3 years OR nursing experience, circulate and scrub, requires call.
  • First Assist OR: Ability to circulate and scrub, call required, 3+ years OR nursing, RNFA program completion per AORN standards.
  • PACU: 3 years critical care or specialty experience, ACLS and PALS required.
  • ICU: ACLS certification required.
  • Cardiac Rehab: Knowledge of computer applications, 2+ years cardiac med/surg nursing, certification preferred.
  • Med Surg: BLS/ACLS, 2+ years experience preferred.
  • Pediatrics, Labor & Delivery: BLS, PALS, ENPC (preferred), NRP, EFM, 2+ years experience.
  • Pre-Op Eval: 2 years critical care experience.
  • Radiology: 3 years med/surg, 1 year critical care, BLS, ACLS.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Foster a culture of excellence and respect for all patients, visitors, and colleagues.
  • Design and deliver patient-centered care considering individual patient needs.
  • Adhere to compliance standards and maintain knowledge of relevant laws and policies.
  • Utilize current nursing standards, participate in ongoing education, and maintain competency.
  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team.
  • Educate patients and families, ensure communication, and discharge planning.
  • Follow safety, infection control, and confidentiality protocols.
  • Participate in performance improvement, mentoring, and team activities.
Qualifications
  • Education: Nursing diploma or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Licenses: Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Experience: 3+ years IV and PICC experience, 3-5 years preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to perform nursing duties within scope, CPR/PALS/ACLS/BLS certifications, training provided for transitioning nurses.
