Job summary

Mercy Joplin is seeking registered nurses to provide comprehensive patient care on MedSurg units. You will use the nursing process and work with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, protect patient rights, and uphold Mercy Service Standards.

Strong steppingstone opportunities exist toward ICU, ED, or NICU tracks. Sign-on bonuses are available for new grads and experienced RNs, with competitive benefits and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited school.
• Current RN license in our state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.

The Mercy Joplin MedSurg Service Line is made up of several specialty units that will provide experience with patient populations with a varying range of diagnoses and care needs.Functionally, these units house and care for patients who are preparing for or recovering from medical and surgical interventions.Whether you are a new grad nurse looking to build a strong base before launching into your future career/educational plans or an experienced nurse who enjoys variety in their everyday work, Med Surg is the place for you!

Our Cardiac Surgery Unit is a 24-private bed unit that cares for pre and post-operative cardiac surgery patients, cardiac dysrhythmias requiring IV drips, vascular surgery patients and general medical overflow. Our Nurses work on a support team of educators, PCA/PCT's, Case Managers, Respiratory Therapists, Dieticians, PT/OT and Speech Therapists. You will earn credentials in ACLS and build strong clinical skills for our cardiac and vascular population.

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
• License: Current RN license in our state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
