Job summary

Essex Meadows in Connecticut is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead and support nursing staff, promote resident well‑being, and ensure high standards of care across shifts.

You will supervise direct resident care, administer medications, monitor conditions, develop care plans, document accurately, participate in on‑call duties, and collaborate with a compassionate team in a beautiful Life Plan Community.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Connecticut (or valid multistate/compact license).
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervising direct resident care and nursing personnel during assigned shifts.
• Providing hands-on clinical care as needed.
• Administering prescribed medications and treatments.
• Monitoring resident conditions and communicating changes to physicians and families.
• Making rounds to ensure quality care in a safe, clean environment.
• Assisting with development and implementation of care plans.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and medical records.
• Responding to resident emergency call systems.
• Promoting restorative care and resident independence.
• Participating in training, education, and professional development opportunities.
• Ensuring proper functioning of equipment and adequate supplies.
• Participating in on-call responsibilities as assigned
