Job summary

PAM Health in Round Rock, Texas, is hiring a Registered Nurse for a 13-week internal assignment at $55 per hour. The RN will deliver and supervise patient care, coordinate discharge planning, and teach patients and families as part of the care team.

Holders of RN licensure with BLS and ACLS within 90 days are required, with med-surg experience preferred. ACLS required for Charge Nurses. Flexible scheduling and growth opportunities are offered by PAM Health.

Qualifications

• Holds current RN licensure in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
• BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
• Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
• Plans, coordinates, and provides patient care including interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, and patient/family teaching for post-hospitalization.
• Accesses community resources as needed.
• May perform other duties, including Charge Nurse responsibilities (ACLS certification required).
