Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Round Rock is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver, direct, and supervise patient care on the nursing unit. You will plan and coordinate care, discharge planning, and patient/family teaching, with ACLS responsibilities for Charge Nurses as needed.

Preferred candidates have some charge nurse experience, and the role offers opportunities for growth, flexible scheduling, and supportive leadership.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure.
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients.
• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care including discharge planning and patient/family teaching.
• May perform Charge Nurse duties as assigned; ACLS certification may be required.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Qualifications

Education and Training: Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
