Job summary

Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, SD seeks a Registered Nurse for rotating 7pm-7am and 7am-7pm shifts. The role covers 48 hours per two weeks, with every 3rd weekend/holiday. RN pay scale ranges from $32.50 to $48.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice upon hire.
• 1–3 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Ability to work night shifts as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by reviewing physician orders and communicating care plans.
• Develop nursing care plans by obtaining histories and documenting status.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, meds, and self-care.
• Evaluate care by following standards and adjusting plans as needed.
• Maintain safe patient care environment per policies and regulations.
• Document care in patient records and charting.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are ready and maintained.
