Job summary

Pain Diagnostic and Treatment Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team. Under direct supervision, the RN will implement physician orders and ensure continuity and quality of nursing care, with safety, comfort and privacy for all patients.

The role includes assisting physicians in the procedure rooms, perioperative care, conscious sedation, and discharge planning. CA RN licensure and BLS/ACLS are required; ASC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current CA Registered Nurse License.
• Current BLS and ACLS.
• ASC experience is a plus.
• Good communication and human relations skills.
• Ability to organize and follow through on own initiative.
• Thorough knowledge of all phases of perioperative process including knowledge of surgical procedures and anesthesia implications.

Responsibilities

• Implement physician orders and provide for continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients.
• Evaluate patient condition continuously to ensure safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks including conscious sedation and sterile technique as appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
• Perform assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Registered Nurse at Pain Diagnostic and Treatment Center

Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Director, the Registered nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients'' condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all time. At times, assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation and utilizing sterile technique as deemed appropriate. Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation. Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
