Pain Diagnostic and Treatment Center in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team. Under direct supervision, you will implement physician orders and provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients.

The role includes assessing patients, planning and delivering care, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy, and assisting physicians in procedure rooms with sterile technique and conscious sedation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current CA Registered Nurse License.
• Current BLS and ACLS
• ASC experience a plus
• Good communication and human relations skills
• Ability to organize and follow through on own initiative.
• Thorough knowledge of perioperative process including surgical procedures and anesthesia implications.

Responsibilities

• Implement physician orders and provide continuity and quality nursing care.
• Monitor patient condition with continual evaluation and ensure safety, comfort, and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with sterile technique and conscious sedation as applicable.
• Provide total perioperative patient care from anesthesia/sedation through discharge planning.
• Perform assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Registered Nurse at Pain Diagnostic and Treatment Center:

Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Director, the Registered nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients'' condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all time. At times, assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation and utilizing sterile technique as deemed appropriate. Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation. Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Hourly Range: $48- $66 depending on # of shifts per week available
