Job summary

Heritage Hall in Lexington, VA is seeking an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to deliver day-to-day care to residents. You will supervise LPNs, CNAs and other nursing staff on duty, and administer medications as ordered by physicians.

This role focuses on maintaining the highest quality of care in a geriatric setting. The ideal candidate holds an ASN or BSN and an active Virginia RN license; LTC experience is preferred.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering day-to-day care to residents. They supervise the LPNs, CNAs and other nursing staff on duty with them as well as participate in the direct care of the residents. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, facility, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services to ensure the highest degree of quality care is always maintained. They are also responsible for administering medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.

RN dayshift/night shift Qualifications:

• Must have ASN or BSN degree from an accredited college
• Must have an active RN license in the state of Virginia
• Experience in long-term care preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals
• Ability to read and understand written and oral instructions
• Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures
