Job summary

Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration in La Crosse, WI, is seeking full-time and part-time Registered Nurses to join our Wellness Team at St. Rose Convent.

You will provide high-quality patient care while upholding our mission of love and service, ensuring a healing environment for the Sisters. Candidates should hold an active Wisconsin RN license, be able to rotate weekends/holidays, and demonstrate strong nursing knowledge with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in Wisconsin.
• Commitment to the mission and core values of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration.
• Valid driver's license.
• Weekend and holiday rotation availability.
• Strong nursing knowledge and practices.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems.
• Support caregivers and nursing staff per policy.
• Understanding of long-term care nursing process (assessments, care planning, evaluations).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Geriatrics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing assessment and management of health status for the Sisters as needed.
• Maintain accurate records for each Sister.
• Assist with prescribing and delivering medications and setting up supervised medication systems.
• Advocate for Sisters to ensure health needs meet their values and wishes.
• Prioritize workload, manage time, and respond to emergencies.
• Communicate with Wellness team via E-charting system.

We are seeking full-time and part-time Registered Nurses (RN) to join our wellness team at St. Rose Convent in La Crosse. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care while embodying our mission of love and service. Your contributions will be vital in fostering a healing environment that aligns with our values. The RN's will promote harmony of body, mind and spirit through a team approach by offering services to the retired Sisters that will advocate and foster the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being while also promoting the independence of each Sister.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in State of Wisconsin
• Identify with and display a commitment to the mission, philosophy, and core values of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration
• Maintain a valid driver's license
• Ability for a weekend rotation and holiday rotation
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles and practices.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems
• Ability to support caregivers and other nursing staff in accordance with policies
• Understanding of the nursing process as it applies to long term care, including assessments, care planning, and evaluations.
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
• a commitment to person-directed care (or as we call it--relationship-centered care!)
• Previous work experience in Geriatrics preferred

In this role, you may:

• Provide on-going assessment and management of health status for the Sisters as needed
• Maintains accurate records for each Sister
• Assists with prescription and over the counter medication by ordering and delivering medication, "setting-up" supervised medications systems and administering medications
• Advocates for the Sisters to ensure their health needs are being met in accordance with their values and wishes.
• Prioritize workload, manage time effectively and respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Communicates with other members of the Wellness team verbally and through the use of the Electronic Charting System
