Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse to deliver psychosocial and neurobiological care across diverse settings. The PMH RN will assess, diagnose, and treat mental health and substance use disorders while promoting wellbeing through prevention and education.

The role requires current RN licensure, with preferences for psych experience and PMH-BC certification, and it offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits as part of a travel assignment.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing.
• One year of psych experience preferred.
• PMH-BC certification preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, requires a wide range of nursing, psychosocial, and neurobiological expertise. PMH nurses promote well-being through prevention and education, in addition to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. The Psychiatric/Mental Health Registered Nurse, works in a variety of settings and provides comprehensive care to individuals, families, and communities when applicable.
