Job summary

Prince George's County Police Department seeks an entry-level Programmer/Systems Analyst to design, develop, and implement automated systems, and to format software packages to meet user needs. Work is supervised and may progress after probation.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or business administration and at least six months of data processing experience, with familiarity in RMS, SQL, SSRS, SSMS, and Motorola PremierOne software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or business administration.
• Six (6) months experience in data processing.
• Any equivalent combination of relevant training, education and experience may also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assists personnel with various computer software trouble‑shooting requests.
• Grants system access to new users who have completed basic RMS training.
• Drafts, publishes and manages automated subscriptions for reports for PGPD Command Staff, special units, and other entities.
• Conducts audits of Motorola PremierOne usage by end users.
• Maintains the PGPD PremierOne RDW using SSRS.
• Teaches UCR, technological and RMS related courses.
