Job summary

Reidland Middle School in Paducah, Kentucky invites applications for a RMS 21st CCLC Site Coordinator Level 1. The role coordinates after-school activities, recruits students and families, and collaborates with partners to provide enrichment and a safe learning environment.

The ideal candidate has a related four-year degree (preferred) and required field experience. Salary: $23.78 per hour. This is a full-time position with duties including supervision, scheduling, and program administration.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Implements all rules and regulations, policies and administrative guidelines as adopted by the Board of Education.
  • Recruits students and parents for program activities.
  • Participates in professional development in core content; program of studies, reading, math, and science best practices.
  • Attends national, state, and regional 21 st CCLC meetings as required by KDE or as requested by principals.
  • Purchases supplies for program, maintains program inventory.
  • Coordinates with program partners to offer enrichment and recreational activities.
  • Gathers student academic and non-cognitive and parent data for evaluation.
  • Coordinates with local food services to provide snacks for students.
  • Assigns adult and student tutors.
  • Manages all activities when program is in session and provides hand-on help and oversight of day to day program activities.
  • Organizes and plans Saturday field trips and summer camps.
  • Coordinates with district transportation officer to provide transportation for after-school, Saturday, and summer program.
  • Organizes and designs schedule of sessions for after-school program. Contacts partners and schedules partner sessions.
  • Conducts Advisory Council meetings.
  • Revises and improves program activities according to evaluation plan.
  • Coordinate WKCTC activities and refer parents for adult literacy or GED classes.
  • Advertise the program to students, parents, and community based organizations.
  • Assist program director in the financial management of funding.
  • Seek additional funding to sustain the program.
  • Pursue continuing education opportunities in best practices and science-based strategies.
  • Assist in media and public relations campaigns.
  • Attend parent-teacher conferences, back-to-school activities, and other activities to advertise program opportunities.
  • Manage and coordinate program staff and volunteers.
  • Responsible for all project documentation.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintain a professional and appropriate appearance.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Adhere to the Professional Code of Ethics.
