McCracken Lone Oak Middle School in Paducah, Kentucky seeks a Part-Time LOMS 21st Century Student Worker for after-school programs. Starting date is immediate; salary is $10 per hour with eligibility for standard benefits as defined by the district.
Responsibilities include light maintenance, custodial tasks, clerical support and light food service, with adherence to district rules and safety standards. Applicants must meet Kentucky education requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
Perform general light utility work, custodial services, food services or clerical areas as assigned.
BASIC REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
Implement all rules and regulations, policies and administrative guidelines as adopted by the Board of Education and/or the school SBDM Council.
Clean up area assigned daily including sweeping, wiping, dusting and other general light cleaning tasks.
Move, open, empty and dispose of boxes and cartons.
Make inter-office deliveries and perform other messenger tasks as required.
Use, maintain and store assigned tools and equipment properly.
Perform clerical functions as required.
Maintain standard safety practices.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Remain at work during the entire workday unless excused by immediate supervisor or designated representative.
Maintain a professional appearance.
Incorporate the use of technology in daily tasks.
Maintain regular attendance.
Adhere to the Professional Code of Ethics.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Methods, equipment and materials used in general maintenance work.
Cleaning materials, disinfectants and equipment used in custodial work.
Proper methods of storing equipment, materials and supplies.
Basic record-keeping techniques.
ABILITY TO:
Operate equipment used in general maintenance and custodial work.
Maintain classrooms, offices and other school facilities in a clean, safe and secure condition.
Use specialized cleaning equipment and supplies safely and efficiently.
Move and arrange furniture and equipment for meetings and special events.
Report safety hazards and need for maintenance and repair.
Observe health and safety regulations.
Understand and follow oral and written directions.
Perform heavy physical labor.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Any combination equivalent to: high school diploma or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a high school diploma, G.E.D. Certificate or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a G.E.D. as required by Kentucky law.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT :
Salary and work year to be established by the Board of Education.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel.
