Job summary

COLSA is seeking an experienced RMF Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team and support cybersecurity and RMF activities across the authorization process. You will develop and maintain RMF A&A packages, guide information owners through RMF steps, support security control assessments, and manage vulnerability remediation for assigned information systems.

The role requires collaboration with ISSMs, Government RMF ISSOs, information owners, validators, and other stakeholders to

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of eight (8) years of related work experience, including DoD RMF/A&A activities
Experience developing RMF artifacts: SSPs, SARs, POA&Ms
Experience with security control implementation and vulnerability management
Clear presentation of technical findings to stakeholders
Active Secret clearance; US Citizenship required

Responsibilities

Completes authorization and assessment packages within 120 days of system ATO expiration.
Guides information owners through RMF steps from Step 0 to Step 2 and through security controls.
Develops and maintains SSPs, SARs, and POA&Ms for RMF packages.
Reviews control implementations and gains validator approval.
Leads development of RSF/POA&M updates and monitors vulnerabilities.
Monitors networks to detect security incidents and ensures policy compliance.
