Freeman Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to support behavioral health patients within a psychiatrically oriented practice. The MA will assist physicians and advanced practice providers, document care details, and maintain patient flow and education as part of a trauma-informed care approach.
The role reports to the Nurse Coordinator of Adult Psychiatric Practices and requires a high school diploma with MA certification in the relevant state.
The Medical Assistant (MA), as directed by the physician(s), advanced practitioner(s) and/or RN/LPN(s), performs patient care activities for office patients and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.
