Job summary

VSolvit is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Corona Division in Norco, California. The Systems Engineer will analyze complex Navy systems using RM&A methodologies to evaluate operational readiness and support engineering decision making.

The successful candidate will develop reliability models, assess system performance, integrate engineering data from multiple sources, and provide recommendations that improve system readiness across Navy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 3–6 years of systems engineering or reliability engineering experience.
• Experience analyzing engineering data and technical systems.
• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Ability to work on-site in Norco, California.
• Experience with RM&A principles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze multiple engineering databases to determine RM&A metrics.
• Evaluate single systems and systems-of-systems readiness.
• Integrate failure, maintenance, and operational data from multiple sources.
• Develop and maintain reliability models and scoring methodologies.
• Research Navy systems and develop engineering assessment criteria.
• Perform statistical analysis and engineering trend analysis.
• Utilize Navy and COTS readiness assessment tools.
• Develop technical documentation, engineering reports, and recommendations.
• Support engineering reviews and customer briefings.
• Collaborate with Navy stakeholders and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
