Job summary

Transforming Age Rivers is seeking a Cook/Kitchen Manager to join our Rivers community in Burnsville, MN. You will prepare meals that meet dietary needs, keep the kitchen orderly, and ensure food safety while collaborating with staff and external partners.

Occasional hiring, training, and supervision support may be required. CPR/First Aid training may be needed depending on state/local rules, and a background check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef/Kitchen Manager in a senior living community is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with staff and external constituents.
• Able to prepare therapeutic/modified diets.
• Successful completion of a background check.
• First Aid training and CPR training may be required in certain state/local jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious food that meets a variety of dietary needs and preferences for our Rivers residents.
• Help maintain orderly kitchen
• Ensure kitchen food safety and sanitary food handling.
• May occasionally assist with hiring, orientation, training, and evaluation of kitchen staff.
• Assist with supervising utility and FOH staff as needed.
• Create a motivating environment that encourages team members to be involved, creative, and problem solving.
• Perform other duties as assigned

The pay for this role starts at $22.00 per hour DOE. This role does have the occasional Saturday/Sunday shift. We offer fantastic benefits including Medical, Vision, Dental, 401(k) with matching, generous PTO, and so much more.
