Rochester Regional Health is offering a co-op position in Information Systems & Technology located in a hybrid setting. The role involves working with analysts and engineers to design, build, and interpret data models that drive business decisions.

It is a hands-on opportunity for someone passionate about data, eager to learn new tools and technologies, and who values initiative and clear communication. The co-op is a full-time, Monday–Friday 8am–4pm schedule starting January 2027 at Rochester

Qualificações

• Must be a student enrolled at RIT to be eligible for Co-op; matriculation at RIT must be maintained throughout Co-op experience
• Background in CS, Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field
• Comfort and curiosity with learning new technologies, platforms, and methodologies on the fly
• Familiarity with SQL, Python, R, or similar data tools (coursework counts!)
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is an asset

Responsabilidades

• Assist in designing, building, and maintaining data models that support reporting and analytics needs
• Explore and analyze datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for insight
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and communicate findings clearly
• Document data pipelines, model logic, and analytical processes for team reference
• Learn and apply new data tools and technologies as project needs evolve
• Work within Microsoft Fabric and OneLake to access, organize, and manage data assets across the lakehouse architecture
• Support the development and tracking of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that measure business performance and inform strategic decisions
• Contribute to data quality initiatives including validation, cleansing, and standardization
• Present findings and summaries to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

STATUS: RIT Co-op with Information Systems & Technology

LOCATION: Hybrid

SCHEDULE: Full-time, Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. Double-block Co-op starting in January 2027.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sedentary - Sedentary roles are primarily office-based and require prolonged sitting (67-100% of the workday) with minimal physical effort and lifting limited to under 10 lbs. Fine motor skills are necessary for computer work, writing, and telephone use, supported by clear visual and auditory ability. Cognitive and emotional demands are high due to extended concentration, frequent interruptions, independent decision-making, and information processing. Although physical exposure is low, administrative areas within healthcare environments may occasionally involve contact with infectious agents. Some roles may require flexible hours, TB screening, or a valid driver’s license.
