The Risk & Safety Administrative Coordinator will perform a wide range of administrative and clerical activities related to supporting the Goodwill Central Texas corporate risk management, safety, and security, team including but not limited to filing and tracking of worker’s compensation and other third-party claims, processing departmental correspondence, data entry, filing, word processing, record keeping, and other department related functions as assigned.
Role and Responsibilities
- File and monitor workers’ comp, property, and casualty claims to ensure timely processing and coordinate appropriate claims documentation, incident reports and track losses and corrective actions
- Coordination of the return-to-work program in collaboration with stakeholders
- Schedule, track, and coordinate safety inspections, training
- Assist with implementation and maintenance of the safety management system
- Assist with maintenance of DOT driver files and compliance activities including coordination of random drug screens and physicals
- Coordinate review of motor vehicle records
- Monitor and track the personal protective equipment program
- Fulfill and coordinate requests for safety signage, equipment, and technical support
- Maintain internal and external certificates of insurance
- Coordinate and contractor safety and documentation
- Review and process incoming mail
- Maintain incident files to ensure accurate recordkeeping
- Maintain DOT Driver Qualification Files and coordinate compliance activities
- Assist with the maintenance of internal and external certificates of insurance
- Assist with the RFP and annual renewal process for commercial insurance brokerage services and carriers, medical providers, drug testing and safety vendors
- Provide support and training to Goodwill Central Texas supervisors and managers in the proper procedures and forms to be utilized in preparation of claims, notices of absence, and notices of return to work in accordance with the Texas workers’ compensation requirements
- Assist in documenting telephone conversations, witness statements, medical reports, accident investigation results in regard to worker compensation claims.
- Assist with preparation of internal standard operating procedures
- Must possess the ability to handle confidential and highly sensitive data with discretion
- Attend staff and other organization meetings as required
- Demonstrates ethics and complies with Corporate Compliance Program.

- Other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
- Assist with various clerical duties, not limited to meeting support, maintaining records, retrieve information, produce correspondence.
- Assist with special projects as needed and perform errands as requested. Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ management experience in the safety field
- Fluent in Spanish a plus.
- Basic knowledge of OSHA 1910
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Computer literate and have experience using Microsoft Office.
- Texas Driver’s License; current liability insurance, personal transportation, and a clear driving record.

- Ability to inspire others with an outstanding work ethic and always goes the extra mile.
- Ability to take on complete accountability and ownership of their area.
- Proven collaboration and communications skills.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for eight hours.
- High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a related role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, experience with word processing and data entry.
- Exceptional customer service skills and high proficiency in written and verbal communication.
- Strong administrative, organizational, and multitasking skills with an eye for detail.
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork experience through academic, professional, and/or extracurricular activities.
- Texas Driver’s License, liability insurance, vehicle in good working condition, and clean driving record, with occasional travel to other Central Texas locations possible.
